Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition Teams
Jump Higher, Leap Longer, Beyond the Leap!
The BeyondLeap Rhythmic Gymnastics (RG) Competition Teams are made up of intermediate and advanced gymnasts from BeyondLeap. They are under the direction of BeyondLeap dedicated management & coach team. The competition teams are required to participate in all the assigned training/practices and regional, national, and/or international competitions each year.
All the members in the Competition Teams are required by USAG to register for the USAG memberships.
The team gymnasts are selected by the coach team each year from students at BeyondLeap and must meet the level requirements to be considered, including physical strength, flexibility, basic skills, motivation, coachability, mental toughness, and sportsmanship. Each gymnast competing in anything must have a minimum of one year of training completed in BeyondLeap's pre-team training RG level 3/4 or higher.
The Competition Team gymnasts require:
1) Commitment - Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport that requires a team member's presence for every minute of scheduled training time. Team members are required to attend ALL practices (regular classes, summer/winter/spring camps, pre-competition intensive training, etc.), competitions, and other team events.
2) Attitude - Team gymnasts are expected to have a good attitude towards themselves, their teammates and their coaches. They need to accept criticism in order to improve, and they need to encourage their teammates to be the best they can be.
3) Proper Health & Nutrition - An athlete cannot train or perform to the best of their abilities without proper nutrition. All team athletes are expected to eat a well-balanced diet and stay hydrated in order to keep bodies in the best physical shape possible.
4) Family Commitment - Rhythmic ymnastics requires a strong family commitment, in the forms of transportation, financial assistance, nutritional advice, fundraising, support at competitions, and mental support through training.
5) Finances - Being on a gymnastics team can be expensive. On top of monthly tuition, you need to consider the price of uniforms, choreographers, competition entry fees, coaches fees, and travel fees.
The key to gymnastics elites is to persist in effective training and practice! Persistence almost always leads to success. No matter what your goals are, but if you persevere, you will succeed.
Let us enjoy the most beautiful sport - Rhythmic Gymnastics!
The regular classes begin on Sept. 5, 2018 and end Jun. 30, 2019
2018-2019 School Year No-Class Dates
Halloween: Oct. 31
Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 21 - 25
Winter Break: Dec. 21-Jan. 2
Now we are using the new class management methods to manage the classes. The process is simple and easy:
1. The parents select and register a certain level class with a certain number of lessons, such as 20 lessons, 40 lessons, 80 lessons, 120 lessons, etc.
2. The students are allowed to take the lessons at any day, such as once, twice, three times or even four times per week, until the purchased lessons are out.
3. The new system only accumulates the number of lessons which the students have taken. The students do not need to notice the help desk to make up the classes any more. Very convenient!
4. Each student will have an assigned badge with their own QR code. Please bring the badge to the class so that the coach can scan the code to take your attendance in the class. Your attendance will be automatically added into our new system.
5. Once a certain number of lessons is purchased, the lessons won't be expired, you can use them at any available corresponding classes with the same class hours. If you don't use all of the lessons in this school year, the left lessons can be used in the next school year. The fees won’t be refunded, only if you stop the rhythmic gymnastics training and leave the gym, the left lessons can be transferred to your friends.
The intensive regular team training schedules in 2018-2019 school year are as follows. There may be additional training before the competitions or any other events.
